Power Slayer This Slayer gametype is designed to allow players to gain special traits based on the types of kills they perform. Each time you perform one of these kills you will gain the traits assigned to that kill for 10 seconds. Here’s what i don’t like about it in a nutshell – Amour design is poor, no where near the same variation as reach – Spartan ops is pretty bad. Also it feels like is trying to make Halo into something else, sure the Campaign kind of felt like Halo but the Multiplayer is starting to feel more like a generic fps game with a Halo skin, some customization, and shields. To put it in comparison, I stopped at level 94 on Halo 4 I used double xp so it didn’t take too long , and on Halo Reach I got to the rank of Legend it takes countless hours to get.
I just hope doesn’t try to take the “Halo” out of Halo. The campaign was my favorite of all the games, especially with the focus on the relationship between Chief and Cortana. The voice acting and mo-cap were great, and the facial animation is the best in the series. The levels were pretty cool, but some of them on Legendary were an absolute pain.
I feel like people complain so much about all the button pressing because there’s a noticeable animation for it. Spartan Ops was a cool idea, but I never really got the feeling that the missions I was playing had anything to do with the fantastic cinematics that came in every episode. If they could improve that while bringing Firefight back as well, that would be awesome. As for Multiplayer, I think it is one of my favorite Matchmaking experiences. I came in late to Halo 3 matchmaking, so I didn’t get to experience all of those playlists.
I liked that there was pretty much a playlist for every gametype in 4, so I wouldn’t get stuck in a CTF match if I wanted to play King of the Hill like in other Halos.
